The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa north of Albuquerque, N.M., is offering harvest-season activities Aug. 15 through Nov. 30.
The classes, tours, menus and demonstrations are led by regional culinary experts.
Among the activities:
• Classes about the history and tradition of growing and cooking chiles.
• A chile menu in which each dish in a multicourse meal contains chiles.
• American Indian bread-making class during which participants learn recipes and techniques from residents of Santa Ana Pueblo.
• Tour of a blue corn mill in Santa Ana Pueblo.
• Chile mud spa treatment in which soil from nearby mountains is mixed with New Mexico red chile powder.
